MBA - Masters in Business Administration is a two year post graduate program. Structure & Methodology of an MBA Program:

First Year - It will have a common platform for all the future managers. The emphasis would be on:

Industrial Training - After first academic year, all the students are provided with Real Time Environment. The emphasis would be on:

• Industry exposure - It provides you an opportunity to interact with Real Life Industry environment wherein the situations would help you in identifying your core competency area i.e. Marketing, Finance, HRD, Systems, Rural Management, International Trade etc.

Second Year - The second year you will choose the desired specialization, where industrial training would help you to a great extent. Some institutes also offer dual specialization. The second year would include about 6-9 compulsory courses and about 17-20 electives depending upon the specialization. The emphasis would be on:

• Specialization - Understanding of Core Functional areas of management e.g. Marketing, Finance, HRD, Operation Strategy, International Business, Systems, Rural Management, Advertising etc.

Round The Year - Learning is a round the year affair while pursuing the study for MBA. Personality Development is one such part of MBA program. The emphasis is on:

• Honing of Communication skills - Presentations and Group Discussions on Case Studies, Interviews etc. are incorporated in the program to provide an insight into a real life situation which the managers face in day to day business.
